🌟 The First Yes: How Mary Began the Story of Jesus > “Behold, I am the servant of the Lord; let it be to me according to your word.” — Luke 1:38 Before the miracles, the manger, and the message of salvation, the story of Jesus began with a quiet moment — and a simple word: yes. In the small town of Nazareth, lived a young woman named Mary. She was not a queen, not rich, not powerful. She was a humble, devout girl engaged to a man named Joseph. Her days were filled with simplicity — chores, prayer, and preparation for her future marriage. But one ordinary day turned extraordinary. Suddenly, a brilliant light filled her home. Standing before her was Gabriel, an angel of the Lord. He greeted her, not with fear, but with honor: > “Greetings, O favored one. The Lord is with you.” Mary, confused and frightened, listened as Gabriel told her something unimaginable — she would bear a child. Not just any child. A Son of the Most High. She would call Him Jesus. He would be a Ki...
